Mike,

IMHO.....

Granted it looks like there may have been problems in FL, but there are all sorts of ballots throughout the country that may be confusing to some of the less bright members of society. I'm sure these things happen in every single election. There's no way in hell they should invalidate this vote no matter how it turns out. It would open up a million bags of worms throughout the country and completely ruin faith in our process among foreigners. The US dollar is already perched at the end of a cliff because of our huge indebtedness to foreigners. If they lose faith in the US political process, this country will be burnt toast and dead for 2 decades at a minimum. Our stability is the only reason they let us pile up trillions of dollars of IOUs.

The Gore people should just shut their mouths, wait for the count, and address any issues with the process down the line so they never happen again. This could turn into a huge disaster if foreign capital chucks in the towel. There were already some comments made by the Swiss along those lines.

By the way, if Bush wins the vote and they manage to overturn it in some fashion and get a new vote etc.., you won't be hearing from me for awhile. I'll be building fertilizer bombs in Montana. :-)

Wayne

T, Dang, and I was hoping for a professorship at The Electoral College, though I probably should wait until it becomes a university. <g>
