Sorry, I hear you. My point was that I once had a chance to vote in something I believed in and was wrong but it hasn't deterred me in trying.

GA, did you consider alternate party candidates? I am happy and proud to be able to say that I vote for my beliefs every election, and have done so my entire voting life. Luck had something to do with this, as I stumbled across the Libertarian Party just before the first election which I was eligible to vote.

Yes, my candidate had no chance, and many think that I 'wasted' my vote. I don't think voting for what I believe is wasting my vote. I wqasn't trying to pick the winner of a horse race, or a stock that would double in the next month. Indeed, had I not had the opportunity to vote for someone, I would not have wasted my time. To me it makes no difference whether Chucles or Bozo wins in Florida, they're both clowns.
