Mephisto- Florida election laws kept the number of parties down in prior years so they rarely had to use both sides until new laws opened things up. It's like a bug in a new Microsoft program only this time the consequences were horrendous for the party and for the rest of the country.

New election equipment ranks right up there with libraries as far as municipal spending goes.

One less sports stadium and we could know the election results 10 minutes after the polls close. Must be why the Romans lost to the Vandals.

Mephisto,

You've got to stop believing those sound bites you hear on the liberal media, I know it is difficult but maybe if you can start to see how they only tell you the side of the argument they want you to hear it will open your eyes.

Clearly the media wants a circus, just look at how much more media watching is going on right now. That means money to them.

The section of Florida law that was cited does not apply to ballot cards that are counted by machines only to ballots in which the voter marks by pen. the section that applies is this:

"Electronic Voting Systems Act". This Act was first adopted in 1973 and has been amended frequently since then. 101.5609 Ballot requirements.--

(1) When an electronic or electromechanical voting system utilizes a ballot card or paper ballot which is distributed to electors, the ballot shall meet
the following requirements:

Section 6 (6) "Voting squares may be placed in front of or in back of the names of candidates and statements of questions and shall be of such size as is compatible with the type of system used..."
