I am not quite sure that a Gore victory would be America's victory. There were likely irregularities in many counties across the nation, and why should we assume that Gore won the popular vote, with such a slim margin?

I am a Bush supporter, however whoever wins this election in my opinion really loses. Neither will likely get much legislation passed, and as things appear now will begin with such low approval ratings that it is not unthinkable that they would become a one-term president. Four years is a long time to change things, but neither is very politically adept. Bush's best strategy, IMHO, would be to step aside for the good of the country, and become an armchair quarterback (we all can relate to that!), criticizing Gore all the way and saying "I told you so!"
