Actually no. If you watched a focus group on cnn last night you would have seen a Republican voter from Palm Beach County (a young guy, no retiree)who said that the sample ballots placed in local newspapers before the election were different than the ballots on election day. The samples did not have the confusing lines and punch holes.

Also, this is in response to your post of yesterday: I received a call from my in-laws who live near West Palm at 7pm on election night who said that they had a hell of a time with the ballot and that many people complained as they left the polls, receiving no help whatsoever. This was not sour grapes the morning after.

mm, Agreed. If Gore was forward thinking enough, he could take the moral high ground much like Ashcroft and concede the election for the unity of the country. In so doing, he will have assured himself of the nomination in 2004, and if Bush doesn't perform during these four years, will win in a walkover. Otherwise, he's gonna have to fight Hillary in 2004 just for the Demo nomination. Gore could probably stay the entire eight years if he gets elected in 2004. He's young enough and is just as good as Bubba at saying what each group wants to hear when he is speaking to them.

How's that for a Long Term Buy and Hold Strategy?
