Don't forget, the Constitution is steeped in the liberty tradition that an individual's vote counts. Bush seems to willing to ignore that there were more individuals who voted for Gore, both nationally and in Florida. To become a president under such conditions would be a tragedy for America and its hopes for democracies worldwide.
