both sides have been 'spinning' very irresponsibly. for either to claim victory even now is really inappropriate. there will be a different result on the next recount and its too close with any votes out. for the repubs to say they will win the absentee vote may not be accurate. what if the gore supporters were more likely to mail in votes preceiving themselves as being behind, what if a judge rules the disqualified votes should be statistically adjusted, or what if they throw it all out.. no one knows. the posturing and claiming victory is just absurd..
