No, I think it's sending a message that it doesn't want to see the presidential race decided in the courts, or worse in the congress. I admit I misjudged Mr. Gore and the lengths to which he and the Dems are willing to go.

I don't have a clue as to how the street views the Bush SS plan. I personally think it's a poor idea but for reasons that probably aren't being considered by traders.

The only Bush-specific negative I've heard from traders is that they like divided and hence inert government (as do I, but I'd rather have it divided with the Dems in the house and the Reps in the White House).
