That's definitely a key number for AMD now: heat dissipation of mustang core.

If AMD can get a 1.2GHz mustang core down around 40W, I think they can do 1.5GHz with relative ease. If they redo their design rules (to something like .15mu), which may make sense for a completely new die, then they could very likely reach 2GHz.

You're right, combjelly. Your post said 1.5 GHz at 0.18 but my mind was thinking TBird rather than Palomino.
