OT It does scare me a bit that a dead man can win a seat in the Senate

As a test, a Texas state rep once offered a memorial accolade before his colleagues for a guy (I'll say John Doe) for his concerted efforts and successes in the field of population control. It passed unanimously by voice vote.

The person commemorated? The infamous Texas Tower sniper at the nearby university.

So before we poke fun at what voters will do, let's realize the folly and ignorance of legislators too.
