Bill, I have avoided owning any wireless players tied to GSM because it is so unclear to me how they transition to CDMA. TXN could end up anywhere from strong to absent in the CDMA chip market.

Qcom would be foolish to sell an chip license for less than 1 billion dollars. Intel paid more than that for theirs (they bought a company to get a chip license). TI bought a CDMA company without a chip license for around $400 million. I think Intel and LSI would feel cheated if QCOM sells another chip license. As a shareholder I would be very disappointed if they sold a chip license for less than one billion dollars.
