Scumbria,

re: This is the fundamental strength and difficulty of the United States. Why do you see it as being a bad thing? Our country was born from revolution, and the writers of the Constitution clearly intended to provide the citizenry the opportunity to challenge the government, and even overthrow it if necessary.

The constitution clearly doesn't call for the judiciary to decide elections. Many states could be challenged for their voting irregularities and fraud, each decision could be appealed many times. In January the house would decide the election, and your side would lose anyway. And that would also set a precedent for future elections.

Bush needs to step forward, say he will accept the results of the Florida hand count and the overseas ballots, and put a closure date on this mess. The country doesn't need the courts or the House of Representatives deciding elections.
