<Anyone here ever get a bad fill on a market order, especially when you first started trading? Did you go crying to your broker to give you your money back and let you make the trade again?

I deposited $X in my brokerage account. Then due to some technicality it showed $X-1000. I asked them to rectify it. When they refused, I went to court.
I hope this example helps. If not, I will try to design my explanation befitting a 3 year old kid. >

Murali -

The time for these voters to complain is at the polling station before they dropped their ballot, with two Presidential candidates chosen, into the ballot box.

You see, when you choose more than one candidate on the ballot, that ballot becomes invalid.

As to your example, just take a copy of your cancelled check with you to your broker and that will prove your case. No need to needlessly spend all those legal fees.

Hope this helps.

You offered a faulty analogy. In the first instance you gave them something to hold which belonged to you and there was disagreement as to it's size. You could establish your side, I'm guessing, with documentation.

In the other you give them an instruction which they have a fiduciary responsibility to comply with. You order and they execute and agreement is established. Changing you mind cannot be used as an argument in reversing a situation you directed and they complied with. The situation can be undone, but you must bear the costs of doing so.
