I doubt it, the country and the Constitution are stronger than that. And despite what Gore's answer was in the second debate about all the other country's looking to the US for leadership, the fact is a lot of countries hate us and want to tear us down. I took a class a few weeks ago and the Trainer taught all around the world and his m.o. when travelling was NOT to appear American. Gore is naive in that regard. By the way, that week after Gore's response( I think the next day), someone bombed the USS Cole.
