"They had every opportunity to review the ballot ahead of time."

In all fairness, it should be pointed out that the ballot instructions sent to the public specifically said to mark the hole 'to the right of the candidate's name.' Some can arguable claim they actually did follow the instructions. They marked the second hole. That's the hole that -- legally -- should have corresponded to a vote for Al Gore. That's the problem. That's why the ballot should never have been used. That's the reason the Democrats have every right to be bitter. That said, ultimately its a moot issue -- George W. Bush will be the next President of the United States.
