I doubt that he made a rush for liquor. There is no need to smear Bush here, at least about this. The man can't be expected to be on camera 24/7. After his experience calling the Times reporter a vulgar name on microphone, I think he would understandably want to carry some conversations on in private, out of the glare of the camera lights.
