Well said, Apollo. The election process is flawed but it won't be fixed anytime soon, largely because the politicians on both sides won't forego the opportunity to manipulate it to their advantage while simultaneously decrying their opponent's identical efforts. But the process has proven effective, and is arguably (Kumar likes India's approach) the best in the world.
