Rush was just as popular during the GHWB administration. Clinton was the best thing for Rush and Liddy, et al. Clinton made them rich by providing much fodder for their Talk Shows.

Rush is not extreme just enthusiastic. Wait till you hear Michael Savage and the Savage Nation now that is extreme. He is the James Carville of the right. His show recently became national and is the fastest growing talk show in the country Even in Liberal San Francisco where the show originated from his show is the highest rated. He is an interesting character. A highly educated Botanist (PHD) from Berkeley who spent years in the Figi islands doing research. He is a staunch environmentalist but boy he can out-scream and out-hate Carville. He despises affirmative action. I suspect that he started a liberal and wanted to teach at Berkely but kept being bypassed by people with inferior qualifications. He is originally from NY and has that Jewish wit and sarcasm
