1) a similar number of ballots were invalidated in Palm Beach county for the same reason in 1996."

Not true.. the actual count according to the Democrat senator representing that area said it was only 7000 votes or so.. not the 14-16000 that Republicans claim

I've heard from multiple sources the 14-16k claim. Of course they could be from the same original source. I'm not sure why a Democratic senator should be trusted as a source more then the Republican party or CNN or Fox News. In any case 7000 is still a pretty signifigant number for votes. It does show that if you are not careful you can easily vote
for some one besides the person you really wanted to "butterfly ballot" or regular ballot or whatever. If someone had poor eyesight and/or was confused there are people at the voting place to help them.

"3) it is the same ballot used in prior elections"

Not true.. this ballot was the first time its been used in this particular county; it wasnt used in the rest of FLorida.. and it hasnt been used for about 10
years..

That particular ballot had not been used before but that style of ballot had been used in other areas in FL (not in that county) and around the country before with not complaints.

Now we have evidence that on election day that the chief polling person there issued a memo to her polling booths people warning them that the ballot was causing confusion and such.. this was before all this brouhahah happenned.

Scott, the link that was provided was from the Clearstation board....an investment board, not authorities on the American Constitution. The kid down the street said Bush has won fair and square.....soon they will be quoting him.

What's most disturbing about all of this is that from Bush on down, an attempt is being made to sweep this under a national carpet. Granted honesty is not in fashion if it ever was but this is making a mockery of everything that is supposed to be dear to this country.
