UF...I totally agree with your puppet analogy to Gore. While I voted for Bush, I'm afraid that he also has some strings attached. Only wish that we could fast forward to 2004. JMO

Unq, I was much like you and holding my nose I voted for Gore/Lieberman, in spite of the exact same visceral reaction, which was: I can't stand the guy.

Now I REALLY can't stand the guy.

I don't think he's a mama's boy only...I think he was bred to believe he should/could be President, and he can't accept defeat. I sense something dangerous in him now, which is what others have been saying. There's a bit of megalomania here that is actually REAL. When the Republicans were pulling their attemped coup-by-sexual-indiscretion not so long ago, we all knew they didn't really believe what they were saying, that it was basically a political maneuver. Maybe Gore is fed up with accusations slung at Clinton administration and himself, and has a bit of a vengeful streak, which is something akin to: "You hobbled us, we'll hobble you." But there's something else here, it's genuine rage, it's "I deserve to be President, I'm the smartest, I'm the best, I will be President, I don't care what it takes because I know better than any of you, better than America herself, who should be the leader. ME ME ME"
