JW - Either therre is a due process or there isn't. If that process has been exhausted then there is a result. If it has not then there is as yet no result.

In a nation based on law resort to the law shouldn't be referred to as wrangling. The process was designed to deal with these situations and although people want things over and done with and results announced without problems that simply may not be possbile if the process is going to be followed.

If the process is going to be abandoned because of Mr Bakers undoubted eloquence then the process has failed and so has the law.

Again, I ask the question...what happens, if after the hand count Gore makes up the votes and is said to have more then bush. 3 Counts, 3 different numbers. Bush gets 2, gore gets 1.....where exactly would this leave us?
