Frankly, I think Bush has an incredible opportunity to take the high ground here, but he's not and he's missing a great opportunity to make himself great even before he takes office...

Here's how:

Instead of insisting that he won the election like some kid in the midst of a sibling rivalry, he should show some humility by the process and offer to bring both Democrats and Republicans together by stating that he will have a few Democrats in his Cabinet... he says he 'trusts the people' but he's not acting like it... he's acting like he's afraid the vote might change if this process continued forward... he should let it run its course and be Presidential throughout this ordeal... he says he the one to 'bring people together,' so let him begin today by quieting this political civil war before it grows into something uglier... if he did these things, then he will win over many who voted for Gore... otherwise, he will remain an unpopular president... he has his ideal chance right now, but he's blind to this opportunity that is now offered to him.....
