Ted Re..That's exactly right.....and that's why it pays to do things right the first time. Otherwise, its never as good the second time around.<

Absolutely, and that is why to suggest PB should simply do a revote is wrong. It can never be put back to the original. And that also is why we don't have many legal challenges after the recount. It is too late to do a completely unbiased election. Where do we go from here? Basically we need to handle this election just like the others, no matter how close. A win by five votes would be like a win by 2000 or 20000 votes. The final recount after the overseas ballots are counted should be it. To drag this into a my vote, your vote thing will do nothing but hurt the country. Besides, If Al wins the presidency, the republican governor choses Liebermans sucessor. Because the governor is republican, chosing a republican senator will break a fifty - fifty tie in senate to 51-49 republicans. So the Dems would gain in one area, but lose in another. Frankly, instead of engaging in a legal wrangle, I think Bush should accede. Republicans will gain power in the senate, Nothing will get done with the election hanging over the gov. and GW will look good next time. We have already lived through 6 yrs of deadlocked government, we will not die if we have to put up with another 4.
