<< There is apparently a state law in Florida that says you have to mark the ballots only to the right of the names. In this case though, the mark is in the middle of the names. >>

The ballot is not illegal and the Gore thieves know this.

First, ballots of this type have been used for many years in Florida and other parts of the country (even in democratic campaign manager Daley's home county). This precedent makes the ballot valid.

Second, the law you are referring to follows that direction with the statement 'when practical'. With as many candidates as there were, the Liberal Democrat that developed the ballot has argued that it was not practical to have all of the candidates on one page.

...they should only let the people vote who voted the first time....

An excellent idea.

Cheers, PW.

P.S.

How about making the ballots even more difficult to understand. That way, the brain-dead among the voters would destroy their ballots and only those who have enough brains to solve this trivial puzzle would count toward choosing the leader of the most powerful nation on earth.

P.P.S.

Democracy: The town idiot and the town genius both have one vote.

P.P.P.S.

When I see those protesting on TV demanding a re-vote, I'm reminded of a TV documentary where busses involved in minor accidents get flooded with opportunists climbing aboard claiming injury. I can't help but think that some people simply love to protest. More reason to limit any re-vote to only those who voted originally.
