Yes, Daniel, what happened, happened. The compromise was better than any solutions that you have proposed and history corrected the 3/5's solution at great cost.

Perhaps, slavery would have eventually died out in the U.S. if the one-to-one count for blacks had been adopted as the southerners wanted, but I'm sure that it would have enabled them to push slavery into many more states than they actually did. Yes, lets count them equally so we can get more of them into more states. That's a great solution. You still haven't addressed this morally reprehensible reality!

So who is deifying anyone? It was the best solution possible at the time.
