Lone Star, very well put. I always admired Warren Christopher and thought of him as a person with a great deal of integrity. Then I heard him yesterday and my opinion changed forever.

It's interesting that you should say that, because CNN just reported that Democratic Party people behind the scenes are upset with the Gore campaign for threatening lawsuits, and have told them to quit doing so.

Lone Star you ought to read a bit of history. Making statements like: most of their Republican friends decry Nixon and call for his swift removal. This must be the Republican version of American History.A bit sanitized and not very sleezy like the real facts of the time. Wasn't it Nixon that said (paraphrased) whats' the point of having power if you can't get revenge on your enemies? I'm not a Republican but I did like Nixon for his raw use of power. Had he been born in China he would have ruled for at least a hundred years. Jerome
