Exactly, which means he's going to take Florida. Those counties, which are strongly Democratic, will be enough. This could, with absentee ballots, come down to under a hundred votes.

That may be the only way this thing will be put to rest without ramifications. It is hard to imagine people taking issue with someone becoming President based on the actual ballots cast. I'm less in favor of a lawsuit than I was. This thing is going too far. We need a winner next week; as time goes on it matters less who it is. It is more important that the people support the winner. I can't stand Bush, but if he wins, he wins, and I'll support him. He's better for my personal finances anyway, and then we can get on with things.

How's this for a conspiracy theory:

Remember that bag of ballots that the election official took home in his/her car trunk and showed up the next day? Now apparently, many of the initially alleged 15k double punched ballots were discarded by voters and replacement ballots were issued to the voters on the election day. Where do you think those discarded ballots went? Is it possible that the bag of ballots in the car trunk was no accident at all, but discarded ballots that got reintroduced into the counting the next day? Now if hand counting is to allow election officials "reading people's will" into those ballots discarded by voters to begin with, voila! Gore for president!

Where is the trash? The total ballot counted, those discarded by machine, and the trash had better add up to the total number of papers shipped down to Florida.
