It seems to me that your audience ( THE RETAIL INVESTOR) should be aware of the entire story of these crystal ball readers, not just what they want your audience to hear. What you are doing is lining their pockets by giving their particular opinions credence because they appear on your show

Tom, they are in the entertainment business. Ted's just playing a role.

This "bozo" as you call him, happens to be a former under secretary of COMMERCE for ECONOMIC AFFAIRS and is an economist and has an earned PhD in Economics from Michigan State.

He appeared in order to comment on the plate of economic data ahead next week and the FOMC meeting. We have an economist on each and every Friday to preview the week ahead. He was alos aksed if he thought the election issue would have an effect on he economy and he said "no."

He is eminently qualified to tell us what he expects for each of these indicators and I fail to see how he "lined his pockets" as a result.

Furthermore he was not asked to comment on nor did he comment on the equities or fixed income markets nor did he make any stock or bond recommendations.

You misquoted his background, cabinet post title and purpose of appearance. If I picked 3 members of SI to discuss economic issues I would hope they'd have their facts straight before showing up.
