Lotteries are for suckers anyway. It's a tax on the mathematically retarded.

Lots of registered voters woulda, coulda, and shoulda voted, but they were too damn lazy and apathetic to do so. They will get another chance the next time there is an election. Meanwhile, it is those of us who took the time to vote whose votes should be counted.

Now that "the cat is out of the bag" and everyone knows how important every vote would be for each candidate, well of course, a helluva lota people would like to be able to re-do the Floridian election. But the law doesn't allow for re-doing elections just because suddenly every vote matters. If the election of the Presidency is decided by a handful of votes, then so be it. It's always been possible, it's just that the odds are against it.

Not many people liked the outcome of the O.J. Simpson trial, but everyone had to live with it, because we have the rule of law.
