Marcos, there is an individual appointed for each electoral college vote.

It is an honorary thing, if you are a good tool of the party, you get to be part of the electoral college. Usually it is state senators and people like this.

Right now there are 25 repubicans who are appointed to the electoral college, and there are 25 democrats appointed to the electoral college.

Though the members of the respective colleges could vote for the other party, I would assume that only thoroughly loyal members are appointed. Also, there is probably some paperwork they make them sign committing them to voting only for their pary.
