MKTBUZZ,

Agree. This is about giving stupid people a second chance so the Gore machine gets the numbers it wants. The Democratic party is, and has always been, for helping stupid people. Too bad for them the courts are going to find against them.

The media machine is making me sick. I was very impressed today that CNN had a short piece with New Yorkers reviewing the ballot and then demonstrating over and over that they could pick the right number for the person they wanted to vote for. One guy couldn't get it right (see stupid people statement above).

The beauty of all this is that this will damage the Democratic party and mid-term elections are going to strongly reflect this. Americans, stupid and otherwise, are going to remember this bs. They will not make this mistake next time.

And Gore? Gore will be a relic in a few weeks. He will not get his party behind him in 2004 if he drags this out and makes an attempt at an extended court battle.

Have a good one.

TH

<< How come 95.8% of the people were able to understand the ballot? ... we have to make it fair for everyone, even the stupid. >>

You can label those who were confused by the illegal ballot as stupid, if that is convenient for you. Were they rushed? tired? had they just worked a double shift? just took their medicine? Who knows, but go ahead and call others stupid if it pleases you.

The number of votes effected by the Palm Beach ballot, which violated the laws of Florida, is significant, and WILL effect this presidential election. This egregious violation of the public trust will be addressed, as it should be, in court.

Get ready for a Tipper Gore and Joe Lieberman administration.
