Slide says : Share some of the highlights...

The highlight was one particular girl-type analyst out of the apple that MUST be one of diana's roomies...she will steal your breath. How a gal like that could come to the oil patch is beyond me, but I like the trend.

Most all of these folks that I talked to see things in a lull that we will break out of come January-ish. They seem to think oil company spending will be moving higher, but not exploding.

It seems we are in store for steady, but sure earnings growth and this just might be a longer term up-cycle for the sector rather than a rocket ride. Makes sense.

I also know that a major company has in fact sold a derivitive to a major driller to hedge a decline in day rates. This is brand new, ground-breaking stuff and could grow to have a major influence on offshore as we know it. But baby steps for now.
