I have said many times on this thread since March that Gold does not usually buck the trend in a Bear Market. Gold is a Currency and the Dollar has remained quite strong throughout this Bear Market thus far. I would not give up hope in regard to Gold. The Bull Market which preceded this Bear was quite unusual. The Ensuing Bear will be no different.

Until gold stocks start to consistently outperform gold bullion (even if both are dropping) extreme caution is in order. The whys do not matter. Gold stocks plunging as gold bullion slowly declines is not the kind of action that bottoms are made of. In fact this is the exact opposite of what we need for a trough..
