Bush should what? Honor the vote once all the ballots are in? I agree with that, and so should Gore. Bush's supporters were out of line in suggesting that Gore should concede before all the absentee ballots are in and counted, and Gore's supporters are out of line encouraging Gore to resort to legal action. We have a system for determining a President, and we should follow it, no we MUST follow it, if we want to have a country to live in. You don't change the rules after the game is played. The team that wins the Super Bowl is the one with the most points, not the one with the most yards, because that is what was agreed on before the game began, and that was what both teams were trying to accomplish. Both parties campaigned in an attempt to get 270 electoral votes, not to win total votes, so the popular vote is completely meaningless. In any case it is too close to call without a recount of every ballot box in every state.

I don't care who wins, I only care that the process that was agreed on is followed, and that we have a President, and not a disaster. I did vote, but not for Gore or Bush. I voted for a Democrat for Senate and a Republican for Congress. If either party refuses to follow the votes and tries to stage a coup through the use of the courts I will never vote for any candidate of that party again, and I will actively become a member of the other party and support it with both time and money. The constitution and the country are more important than who controls the white house for the next four years.
