OT: Don't know about hand counts. Strikes me that ballots that are designed to be counted by machines ought to be counted that way but I don't care as long as its an honest count.

In our community today, 150 fourth grade children were given a ballot exactly like the Florida "butterfly ballot" and asked to vote for Gore and Lieberman, with no further instructions. Of the 150, 146 voted correctly for the Gore-Lieberman ticket. The four that did not, voted for two, because they thought that Gore and Lieberman were two different candidates. Looks like to me these 4th graders are much more intelligent than those Florida democrats. LOL

"Obviously someone thinks its more accurate, or they wouldn't be requesting it."

More accurate?

Maybe they just don't like the result and want another crack at gaining votes.
