Yes, but none of those second graders were worried about Medicare and none of them really gave a flip whether Goofy or Mickey won. (They tied as it turned out.)

I did my own unscientific experiment using the same ballot from PB county with 7 and 8 year olds. I am now the 47th person that posts on this thread that has done this. This proves a lot. I did not give any instructions I just handed the ballot to them and said vote. Here are the results from the 30 kids I tested.

3 kids wrote their name on the ballot but punched no holes.
1 kid blew his nose on the ballot.
4 kids punched a hole beside all of the candidates names.
2 kids kicked me in the leg.
9 kids told me to go to hell or worse.
1 kid ran off and came back with his Dad.
6 kids asked me for money before they would vote.
1 kid tried to sell me some crack.
1 kid correctly voted for Bush.
2 kids correctly voted for Gore.

So I now declare Gore the president.
