A simple majority is enough and they don't need 270? You may be right. Interesting. So I gather that the reason for the democratic lawsuits are that that the Gore strategy will be to delay and defer, trying to prevent Florida's votes from being able to participate, assuming that Gore doesn't win Florida?

If they do mange to steal the Presidency this way, and they could, the next four years should be interesting indeed. I can only imagine what few bills might get through congress, as well as the rioting and civil disobedience that we may see. The hostility and division in our country should reach an all time high.

this fiasco is actually good lesson long term, as complacent public learn to figure the electional system and constituional processes out.

I understood, still allow delegates to vote their
"conscience", our I should say their future "ambassadorship"...<g>).


They had best leave their conscience out of it unless they feel they already had a long and prosperous life and want to experience the alternative.
