ULBI holders finally know we are their licensor.

Mooter tried to tell them that years ago. A sad bunch,
even if they do succeed in making li-poly, they still
have to pay us for every battery they make. No wonder
their heads are sore!

Chang's line of questioning gave the impression that he did not know the difference between the Li ion polymer solid state battery and a li ion gel in cans. Lev tried to educate this guy on the technology. These Li ion gel cans are mainly based on cobalt. Due to safety hazards of cobalt based batteries, they do not produce large format li ion gel can batteries. Another reason for not switching to other battery materials is it infringes VLNC's MnO2 and PO4 (phosphate) patents. They would not admit it!

Then Chang tried to get Lev to admit that Nokia and Ericsson went for unsafe batteries. Lev said: "...I did not say that. You are putting words in my mouth..."

I remember Matsushita's well publicized announcement on Li ion battery. They claimed that it was not a problem to change from cobalt to manganese. What a joke that was! Now the true story about Matsushita is emerging.

Waiting for Sanyo and Sony. Big Japanese companies pay their royalties promptly because US is a huge market for their products. Ram
