Bruce/Sir Lyre: Both the link to your Fool thoughts on the crisis provided to us by tekboy/Ares and your expansion of the golf parable are major contributions for those of us here who try to do our best investing IMO. Thanks.

One comment on the use of golf as an analogy for investing.

Some of us at least have been at the investing game much longer than a golf game, a tournament, or even the career of a top flight golfer.

The investing game is a lifetime game and the scoring is not by the day, the month, the year or even the decade, if the game is played well.

Time is the investors' friend, which permit the great advantage of the opportunity to learn from mistakes and also wait through "crises" to the extent our "sleep at night" tolerance permits.

Will comment separately to Mike on GG and buy and hold, and "portfolio management".
