Does anybody know whether the judge was a political appointee or ran for office, and what her political persuasion is?

This is not what I heard on the news and at the town Hall last night where the people on the Board of Elections in Florida were present, quietly disputing #s such as 16K and 19K for instance. I consider it sloppy and biased reporting, especially quotign Rep Deutsch about an illegitimate president, that Bush should concede, that Gore will gain 10K votes etc.

I knew about the 2 ladies in Palm Beach and their Tuesday hearing, but as far as I could tell if they sued it wsa necessary to give them a hearing. However I'm not a lawyer so I don't know the ins and outs of law. However everything I've seen from the nonpartisan people involved indicated that there would not be a day in the courts for the court to decide the will of the people (as Deutsch says) and tha the courts would be extremely reluctant to get involved, for many reasons.
