Actually, bucko, they did complain, early and often. The Palm Beach Post received several thousand calls that day, the first one at 8 in the morning.

As I've said several times, I first heard reports of this on CNN while Florida was presumed solidly in the Gore column.

According to the New York Times today, some election workers in Palm Beach County were told to refuse to offer assistance to confused voters, because there were so many of them.
