RE:"I may not care for Arab Americans, but I think as American citizens they are entitled to respect. This was a silly and cheap act. She returned the contribution to flatter the Jewish Community?gg
What that act supposed to make her, a friend of Jews?
This is an insult to Jews. !! Wasn't it Mrs. Clinton that called one of her Arkansas political enemies "S.O.B.ing Jew!" What a pity that people have such short memories!"

Actually, I'm glad you brought that up. I can remember when some people would say something like: "Some of my best friends are (of a certain ethnic group)" or "I know a lot of (one ethnic group)" and how patronizing this was to that particular ethnic group, most often African-Americans.
Hey, people know if you like them or not.

On the other hand, it's disturbing that one particular ethnic group would vote 90-10 or 75-25 for one particular party. This makes them a target for any candidate because that group has already been divided and will easily be conquered.
I'd certainly like to see no more than say a 60-40 split down group lines. This would mean both parties were addressing the needs of individuals rather than groups.
OTOH, since both parties are major supporters of Israel, I cannot understand such a skewed split in the Jewish vote toward the Democrats at this point in history. This without factoring in Leiberman. Can you explain this phenomenom?

Jim

RE: "she returned the $100,000 given to her the Arab-Americans! She told the IHT "I am a friend of Jews, I can't accept money from Arab-Americans!!""
-------------------------------------

The articles I read on this were completely different, which was, she did not say she couldn't take money from "Arab-Americans", but rather, she had specifically said, "I can't accept money from <insert the fella's name, a business guy, who is well-known for sponsoring a group to kill Jews>."

Her statement had nothing to do about "Arab-Americans," but everything to do with this particular person's belief. Accepting money from someone who funds money to a well-known organization that supports killing XYZ (insert any ethnic group), would not have been appropriate.

So, it appears your news source may have incorrectly quoted her and exchanged the person's name for "Arab-Americans".
