I don't THINK so. He'll appoint judges that are, like himself, like Scalia, anti-choice.

Lighten up X... Remember that YOUR CANDIDATE, Big Al "all things to all people" Gore voted to confirm Scalia while a Senator from Tennessee. In fact, Scalia was confirmed 98-0 so even MORE RADICAL LIBERALS like Teddy Kennedy voted for him.

But suffice it to say that NEITHER administration will be able to appoint court justices who fail to pass either party's "sniff test" in a Senate confirmation.

And just as you worry about a women's right to abortion, some of us worry even more about Gore's assault on our right of association.

When the Clinton/Gore Justice dept tried to sue the Boy Scouts because they won't permit open gays, it sent a clear shot across the bow of any private organization that moral qualifications were no longer going to be permissible as a discriminator towards belonging to any particular group.

In sum, the fact that we have such a narrow margin of control in the Senate will be decisive in confirmation hearings and that will limit either candidate from pursuing too extreme an agenda.

But Bush UNDOUBTEDLY will have an easier time working with Democrats than Gore will with Republicans. He has a track record of bi-partisanship coalitions in government policy making. Gore has only his own record of self-delusion and partisanship.

And besides, if Gore wins he will be investigated up and down for what that deal with Chernomyrdin. It may be destined to make Iran-Contra look like a misdemeanor.

Especially after billions in taxpayer dollars went "poof" down a Russian rat-hole.

Regards,

Ron
