RE:"He isn't scared that the 3,000 accidental Buchanan votes swing back to Gore????"

That's a different story, I'm talking about fraud in a hand count. PBC already made up 643 votes for Gore...
If you don't think they could come up with another 327 you dreaming...

A punch out here, a punch out there...and voila! Gore wins...
Machine count takees this human factor out...

Scumbria, Re: He isn't scared that the 3,000 accidental Buchanan votes swing back to Gore????

If the count is conducted properly, they won't. If the machine indicates they belong to Buchanan, they do otherwise it will be as Jim said, stealing.

However, there may be some ballot that the machine cannot recognize that may turn to either candidates.

Based on the facts we know - that there were plenty of reform party registrations in PB county, That buchannan had gotten similar size votes in past elections in PB county and that the rate of spoiled ballots in PB county was similar to past elections vs a demo congressman making clearly histerical and overblown statements about people making mistakes and crying about it.

Bruce DuMont said this AM that the only thing scarier than having people who couldn't understand the ballot actually voting in elections was the thought that they might have driven to the polling place.

there is one election, one machine recount, and now they are going to have people try to figure out whom the people actually wanted to vote for from seeing how the ballots were punched.
Those 3000 people didn't know how to vote, it's their own stupid fault and they should admit it and quit yapping. We don't need those people deciding on who's going to be president.
