Random thoughts: Toward the end of the CC, Lev was asked the number users of the Bellcore technology. As part of the answer, Lev mentioned that several licensees had suspended attempts to produce Lithium polymer batteries. He further said that he was going to approach them about licensing Valence technology and converting them from Lithium ion production to polymer. Maybe he was referring to the "gel" crowd, e.g. the Japanese of which there are several as they also produce Li ion. Interestingly, He did not wish to refer directly to Matsushita during the CC. He is planning extensive travel to Asia. Note that some of the licensees whom "gave up" have never produced Li ion batteries. That could be Saft, HET, Varta and a couple others, can't think of their names. He didn't allude to them except for the European company for whom the German group used to work. So, either he has them wrapped up or they are not a priority; probably both. Another thing, Lev said that papers for the joint venture with the German group had already been drawn up but not concluded when the Telcordia deal was signed. He has offered this group a license already. They claim to well capitalized.
