Say what ? one didn't know his religious belief at that age "" Gary, Mr. Liebermann was born Jewish, and I suppose his wife is too, but this non-sense about Orthodoxy was over done to get he votes of the Orthodox block! It is a small block, but hardest to deal with. Maybe 10% of totalJewish vote! He thought if he gets their vote, liberal Jews will follow! ggg

Liberman could have been selected because he is competent and trusted. In fact, when you do the research, you'll discover that Liberman was one of the first person's Clinton called to ask for advice, which implies he is a perceived to be a competent and trusted Advisor.
