OK, listen up everyone. Since everyone is breathless about the numbers, I'm going to run a posting tally on the Intel thread. Here are the votes (er, numbers so far)...

For November 11th, as of 2:01pm, the top three are:

Scumbria - 42 posts so far today
Yaacov - 17 posts so far today
McMannis - 15 posts so far today

Regards,
John <ggg>

Grand prize for the top poster is a trip to Florida to assist in the handcount.

Duke - "I just searched your url for the quote you typed. I could not find it. I heard the TV interview with Bush, your quote seems to be a twisted misstatement of what he said there."

I can not now find the quote either. Perhaps the page changed or I have the wrong url.

But I used "copy and paste" to insert the quote so it was or is there somewhere. I will do some hunting to see if I can find the source.

Edit: The article has quite a bit of information that seems new to me. So I think it is likely that the page may have been changed. The Properties for the page do not show a time for either created or modified

While election observers for the Democratic and Republican camps were involved in the recount debate in Florida, the two candidates were in seclusion for the weekend.

Bush left Friday night for his ranch near Crawford, Texas, where he and running mate Dick Cheney were continuing to map out a possible Bush-Cheney administration.

"It's in our nation's best interest that I should assume the presidency, that this is an administration that is prepared well," Bush said.

Gore also was staying out of the spotlight, although he attended a football banquet for his son Friday night in Washington.

Members of the news media were not allowed to attend the event.
