DT ... Stcgg ... Do we look at the larger triangle indicating upside resolution or the smaller triangle indicating downside resolution.. That's the biggest question. I wish I knew. But a DT is not a DT until it resolves. Support / Resistance is still the Key. Trendlines are Designed to be Broken. After each bounce off support, a lower high formed. The reaction highs at points 2,4 and 6 formed the descending trendline to mark the potential descending triangle pattern. I say potential because the pattern is not complete until support is broken. stockcharts.com Did we break Support or merely Test it? The Main Trend is the other part .. LT Trend is Up. I guess and I'm only Guessing that in order to establish which direction it will go is to Equate the Trend to the Moving Average. So if you are looking at a DT of 100 day duration it need to be compared to the MA of approximately the same duration. Maybe even a Shorter AND Longer Duration to determine which way the Matching MA indicators are moving. I wish I knew .. but as I mentioned .. I'm always learning and don't plan on ceasing this .. This is one of the Best learning experiences because we are here and involved in the process as it happens. I'm posing these questions looking for answers as I believe most of us are. When the Market becomes this Difficult to Guess .. we need to pull out all Stops and do a thorough look at all the tools we have at our disposal.
