Monty Well I may not agree with his advertising but some of what he is trying to say makes sense. While some people may be carrying a lot of debt in this economy there is a lot of assets also that exist. If we had a big war to distort things I might go along with a possible economic problem. Fortunately demographics run counter to a shrinking economy. Us baby boomers are moving into our peak saving years right now. A lot of us don't have any debt and are socking away a lot. The problem is where to put it. I'm sure not stashing it away under the mattress! Not to mention that we are having record Federal surpluses for the first time in thirty years. So I don't see the slowdown in the markets as taking down the economy. There are just too many things that are propelling it forward right now. Only time will tell Monty who is really right.
