You are correct. I hadn't thought of it in that context. I withdraw my complaint about his First Lady comment. However, the statement did seem contrived to me, almost as an excuse to mention her in that light. I think the nation is on edge to any kind of representation that Bush would make that he has won the election. I certainly am for instance, as I think such a declaration remains premature. I hope that he chooses his words carefully so as not to add to the already elevated rhetoric. (Mine included.)
